You'll start caring about ARC Motion Core the moment basic scrap stops being enough. Early on, it's easy to throw every shiny machine part into storage and forget about it. Then a better weapon part, upgrade, or component asks for something more specific, and suddenly this little core matters. If you're already tracking materials for ARC Raiders BluePrints, it's worth treating Motion Core as a resource to manage, not just another drop to dump in a box.
What ARC Motion Core Is Used For
ARC Motion Core sits above basic ARC materials in the crafting chain. It's not the kind of item you burn through for tiny early upgrades. Most players will need it when they begin making stronger components or preparing gear for rougher runs. That's where it earns its place. It helps feed advanced crafting, especially when recipes start asking for refined ARC-based parts instead of common junk. You can also recycle it into ARC Alloy, which gives it a bit of flexibility when your stash gets lopsided.
Where You're Most Likely To Find It
The best place to look is wherever ARC enemies are more active and more dangerous. Weak units can still be useful for general farming, but tougher ARC machines tend to be the better bet if you're hunting Motion Cores. Combat-heavy zones, ARC-related objectives, and high-risk areas are all worth checking. Don't go in half-ready, though. A farming run only pays off if you make it out with the loot. Bring gear you trust, clear space in your inventory, and don't chase one more fight if the run's already been good.
Crafting Through Refiner II
If drops aren't coming your way, crafting is the cleaner route. ARC Motion Core can be made at the Refiner II station, and the recipe needs 8 ARC Alloy. That sounds simple, but it changes how you plan your resources. ARC Alloy becomes more than a material for other recipes; it turns into a way to build Motion Cores on demand. I'd avoid converting every bit of Alloy the second you can, though. Keep enough for other upgrades, then craft Motion Cores when you know what you're building next.
How To Handle Your Stockpile
A common mistake is recycling too many Motion Cores just because ARC Alloy is short. Sometimes that's fine, especially if another important craft is waiting. But if you're close to making advanced equipment, hold onto them. Motion Cores are usually harder to replace than they look. A good habit is to keep a small reserve and only recycle the extras. Players who plan upgrades around missions, crafting benches, and buy ARC Raiders BluePrints options will have a much easier time keeping progress steady without wasting hard-earned materials.
